Module 2 requires requires the candidate to demonstrate her knowledge and competence in using the common functions of a personal computer and its operating system, adjust main settings, use built-in help features and deal with a non-responding application. In order to pass you must be able to operate effectively within the desktop environment and work with desktop icons and windows, manage and organize files and folders, know how to duplicate, move and delete files and folders, compress and extract files, use virus-scanning software and simple editing tools, and print the contents of a short text file.
